August 2023 Progresss update

September 10, 2023

Hello again! This month doesn’t have as many big changes as last month, but some exciting things are being worked on!

What’s new?

You may not have noticed, but LEM has been updated! The following changes are now available:

  • 1.8 Knockback 1.8 Styled knockback is now available in Battle! By default this is enabled, however it can be disabled in Combat Options by either switching to Modern Combat or disabling it in Custom Combat.

  • Sliders & Tickboxes The work in progress new menu system has received some notable updates recently! New types of menu elements are now possible, allowing for more progress to be made with New Menu getting closer to a full release. We’re still in the process of adding these new elements to all the places they should exist, but in most places they already exist now!

  • Removed herobrine

    What’s being worked on?

  • ToolBox Rewrite LEM-ToolBox is being completely rewritten from the ground up in Java, designed to avoid the problems that the original ToolBox had that caused it to eventually be unuseable. On top of this, due to it being written in Java it will now be possible to run it on more server hosts!

  • ModTools Overhaul ModTools is in the process of being completely overhauled! Improved map editor visuals and useability, new submission process, easier installation, and more possibilities for mod creators. None of these changes are in a useable state yet, We’ll make sure to make a blogpost for when its all available!

  • New Documentation LEM is getting its documentation rewritten, making it easier to find what you’re looking for while providing better explanations to questions. You can see the current work in progress version here!

July 2023 Progresss update

August 3, 2023

Introducing progress updates!

As a way to keep the community up to date on what is happening with LEM, we will now be doing progress updates every month covering what’s been going on over here!

Note: If there is nothing notable to report on a progress report may not be made for that month.

These updates will include screenshots of things that are being worked on, giving you a look at what is to come!

What’s new?

You may not have noticed, but LEM has been updated! The following changes are now available:

  • 1.20.1 support The server has now been updated to the latest Minecraft version! For anyone looking for a modpack that is immediately compatible with LEM 1.20.1, see Console-Idated by S_N00B!

  • New IP LEM has a new IP address! You can find all the new IPs at the Join page.

  • LEM Trailer LEM now has a trailer created by S_N00B!

  • New Save Data system LEM has a completely new Save Data system! All player Save Data and Advancements have been wiped.
This new system is more stable than the previous one (Data corruption shouldn’t happen anymore) and it also allows for more kinds of things to be saved, Futureproofing ourselves for things like Glide PB saving!

  • LCH ArmorBar LEMClientHelper now has an accurate ArmorBar available in its most recent version! It will show if an item is enchanted, its durability, and will render at the correct size!

  • Battle panorama customization Menu Server panorama settings now transfer over to the battle server! You can set the panorama to be any panorama from older LCE versions and force it to use the night panorama if you’d like!

  • R26.7 Released R26.7 has been released! You can see the changelog here.

  • Removed herobrine

    What’s being worked on?

  • Bedrock support is in development! Its still very early development, it will likely be a while until its actually available.

Where has LEM been?

May 31, 2023

Around a month and a half ago (as of writing this post), Legacy Edition Minigames suddenly went into a hiatus, what happened?

Before the hiatus, moderation was becoming more and more of a problem with lack of proper rule enforcement. This resulted in things getting way too out of hand, we won’t get into the details here but it involed things along the lines of harrassing another member’s community and server repeatedly.

This isn’t the only incident, but this one is what really got us thinking of what could be done to prevent this from ever happening again as it ever occuring is absolutely unacceptable.

The conclusion we came to was to temporarily close the server to allow us to have some time to work on this problem more, we used this time to rewrite the rules and have better guideance for moderators of what to do in certain situations.

We’ve also decided to put the server into a Closed Alpha, why?

The server has been put into a Closed Alpha due to the decision that it isn’t ready for a public enviornment.

The code is still very unstable and the moderation team is still very small. There isn’t enough moderators here to be able to handle the server in a public enviornment, especially with how large the server became before the hiatus.

If you would like to join the closed alpha, please see the Join page.

We’re unsure when the server will go public again, but it will likely be a long time from now.

Other Notes

Here are some other things we’d like to mention before you go!

  • The server has been updated to 1.19.4, support for older versions has been dropped for now.

  • The Menu Server has received some backend changes (Moving its code to LEM.Base split), it now supports features like CustomPack!

  • LEM.Base split is now on the main server! This also means the Resource Pack has been updated to R26.6, if you’re interested in the changelog for that you can find the page for it here.

  • OptiFine support has been removed. A more in-depth explanation to why will be provided soon. No longer nessecary, OptiFine has fixed the bug that resulte in us dropping support.

  • We have new logos! You probably have already noticed one of them at the top of the website, they were designed by S_N00B!

  • New bridge for discord has also been added to the main server, on top of this Join Ping messages only get sent after a user gets loaded into the game.

If you’ve gotten down to here, thanks for taking the time out of your day to read all of this! We hope you enjoy Legacy Edition Minigames!

Germany battle server now available

February 2, 2023

A new battle server located in Germany is now available!

The IP for this germany server is

Massive thanks for strich3 for providing the server hosting!

If you have connection issues with the main US server, this server located in Germany might be for you.

There are 2 ways to connect:

  1. Joining the server address (Recommended!)

  2. using /server battle_germany from the US server

Note: using /server will not address ping related problems! Only use this if connecting directly proves to be too unstable.

If you have issues connecting to the US servers, using /server from the Germany server might improve connection stability

URGENT: PolyMC is Compromised

October 17, 2022

PolyMC’s maintainer has gone rogue and compromised the project, and there is a chance they will push malicous code via an update even if autoupdate is disabled.

If you have PolyMC installed uninstall it ASAP. The longer it is installed the more at risk you are.

If you have used PolyMC in the past or use it now, your Microsoft account you’ve used to sign-in to PolyMC could also be at risk, make sure you remove PolyMC’s access from your Microsoft account here:

For the time being, use other launchers, MultiMC, Vanilla, etc.. Anything that is trusted is better than the risk PolyMC poses currently. See the update below for information of what to use instead of PolyMC

UPDATE: The maintainers & contributors from PolyMC that were kicked out have created their own replacement for PolyMC, Prism Launcher.

If you’re looking for what to do now, check out Prism Launcher’s latest release on their website!
